Mauro Bergonzoli, born on December 24, 1965 in Milan, is an internationally recognized Italianneo-pop artist. His colorful, energetic, and humorous works have been exhibited in prestigiousmuseums such as the Schaezlerpalais Augsburg and the Bavarian National Museum in Munich.
His Venice Vedute and Water Lilies paintings, inspired by the city of Venice and the idyllic garden of his studio in the Unterallgäu region, are particularly appreciated. Bergonzoli’s oeuvre payshomage to noble women, magical places, and offers reinterpretations of popular art historicalsubjects. His trademarks, the Bergonzoli Eye and his “Magic Bunny,” symbolize humor, magic,productivity, and love, reflecting the artist’s euphemistic worldview. After a 25-year career as acreative director in the advertising industry, Bergonzoli has focused primarily on his own art since2000 and has exhibited in cities around the world, including Milan, Buenos Aires, Hong Kong, and Miami.
